This toolkit contains healthy vending guidelines and examples of how to improve food service at worksites. It is targeted at a variety of community and work settings, including worksites, hospitals, government buildings, and schools.

The Chicago Parks District also created the Healthier Snack Vending Initiative, which was analyzed in a report detailing staff experiences and the results of a two-year evaluation. Another analysis found that all staff and 88 percent of patrons reacted positively to the initiative, and that in 15 months, average monthly sales increased from $84 to $371 per machine.
